A specialised coagulation panel for the detection of lupus anticoagulant (LA), an antiphospholipid antibody associated with an increased risk of thrombosis and pregnancy complications. The panel includes screening and confirmatory dRVVT assays and calculation of the LA1/LA2 ratio.
Number of tests included: 3
Price: 60
Results in 1-3 Working Days
Available on GESY
Individuals with unexplained venous or arterial thrombosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, prolonged APTT, suspected antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), or autoimmune disorders.
Investigation of unexplained thrombosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, prolonged APTT, thrombosis at a young age, suspected APS, or autoimmune disease.
No fasting required. Please inform the laboratory if you are taking anticoagulant medication (warfarin, heparin or direct oral anticoagulants), as these may interfere with testing and interpretation.
Citrated Plasma
Detects lupus anticoagulant using dRVVT screening and confirmatory assays, with calculation of the LA1/LA2 ratio to assess phospholipid dependence. Supports the laboratory investigation of antiphospholipid syndrome and assessment of thrombotic risk. Persistent positivity should be confirmed by repeat testing after at least 12 weeks when clinically indicated.
